What is the duration of a stay with a Zambia Work Visa?
The validity of a Zambia Work Visa depends on the type of employment and the terms of the job contract:
- Short-Term Work Visa: Typically valid for up to 6 months and issued for temporary assignments or contracts.
- Long-Term Work Visa: Usually granted for 1 to 2 years, depending on the project duration or employment contract.
In many cases, long-term visas can be renewed multiple times if the individual’s employment continues. The visa holder is expected to leave Zambia upon the expiration of the visa unless a renewal or extension is granted.
Note: Overstaying the visa without proper authorization can result in fines, deportation, and even blacklisting from re-entering Zambia.
