Can foreign nationals enter Zambia by road without a visa?
Yes. Foreign nationals whose nationality is visa-exempt may enter Zambia by road without a visa, provided they meet the applicable entry conditions. A land crossing does not itself create a visa exemption, and visa-free status does not guarantee admission.
For a short visit on an ordinary passport, check the Zambia Department of Immigration’s category for the passport you will use:

Transiting Zambia by road does not automatically exempt a traveller from visa requirements. Travellers using a residence permit, a diplomatic passport or another special travel document should check the rules for that status rather than relying only on the ordinary-passport lists.
